  • Frequently Asked Questions

    • Why should I hire a professional organizer? A professional organizer can reduce the stress in your life by putting you back in control of your time, your space and your possessions. They are trained to assess the situation and to develop an action plan to create an aesthetically pleasing and organized space.
    • Shouldn't I be able to organize myself?  It may be that you just don't have the time or it may be that it makes you feel overwhelmed.  We all have different talents. When you feel you've done all you can on your own and still aren't able to accomplish what you want it might be time to get some help.
    • Will I have to get rid of all of my things?  You will never be forced to get rid of anything that you want to keep.  The final decision to remove items from your space rest with the client.  We will simply make recommendations.
    • How long will it take and what will the cost be?  It all depends on the size and scope of the job, how quickly you're able to make decisions about your things and how much you want our organizer to help you do.  The process will go faster and be less expensive if you're willing and able to do predetermined projects  between sessions.  Our organizers are paid a per hour rate.
    • Should I tidy my house before the organizing consult?  Absolutely not!  It is easier to devise a plan when we see what is and isn't working for you and how you live on a daily basis.
    • What form of payment do you accept? We accept check, cash and major credit cards through Paypal.
    • What should I look for in an organizer? The organizer you choose should be a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers.  The most important factor should be someone you feel comfortable talking to. You will be spending a lot of time together and will need to communicate effectively.
